"Thank you all for all the generosity you have done for me. I appreciate it dearly, especially building the ramp which I really needed.” -Gregoria, Ramp-A-Thon recipient
Greetings Friend
Last month, Rebuilding Together South Sound partnered with 2 great groups to complete our first ever Ramp-A-Thon! The Master Builders Association of Pierce County provided home builders who served as Ramp Captains, leading our Veteran volunteers from the VetsMeetVets organization. 3 ramps in just one day! Thank you to CapacityCorps Member Carol Shiflett for organizing this great event and to all those who volunteered.
Check out our Ramp-A-Thon pictures posted on Facebook. Make sure to "like" us while you're there.
Our New (old) Home
Over the past several years, despite the difficult economy, we've been able to expand our services and our staff. Thank you to those that have made that growth possible. We're looking forward to continuing that growth as we move to a new, larger to space! Our new home will be in the William Factory Small Business Incubator located in Tacoma. Our first official office was in the Incubator's first building and even though we've been out of the building for 2 years, we've been able to hold our meetings and events in their beautiful space for free! We're thrilled to now be moving into the Incubator's new building.
Our phone number 253-238-0977 will stay the same
Our new address will be 1423 E 29th Street, Tacoma 98404

We couldn't mention this move with thanking Golden Services who made it possible! This fantastic moving company donated packing materials and moved our entire office! File cabinets, materials, desks...they didn't blink an eye. Thank you!
Current Projects - WE NEED SKILLED VOLUNTEERS
Completing critical work throughout the year is only possible with the help of our committed volunteers, and we can always use more! If you or anyone you know would be willing to donate your skills to keep our neighbors warm, safe and dry, please let us know. You can volunteer on your schedule, as frequently as you like. If you have the skills and the time, we want you! Remember you can always view our current volunteer projects online.
Here are the projects we currently need volunteers for:

Sponsor Spotlight: Metal Roof Specialties
This month we shine our Sponsor Spotlight on one of our longtime supporters, Metal Roof Specialties. They've brought out a team to replace a roof and much more each year. In addition, their making our new move possible by donating storage for event materials and donated building items.
Haley Iselin (pictured right) is Metal Roof Specialty's Chief Administrative Officer and one of our dedicated Board members and Second Vice President. Haley's also been named one of the Business Examiner's 40 Under Forty this year! Congrats Haley and thank you for your continued support of Rebuilding Together!
Volunteer Spotlight: Dave Burgess
Dave Burgess came to us early this year as a skilled volunteer looking to put his skills to use in his downtime. Since then, he's taken on numerous projects with great dedication. Dave is a home inspector with construction experience, which lends itself beautifully to taking on our year round projects. He's repaired roofs, installed grab bars, modified stairs and more. Thank you Dave for being a regular and dependable year round volunteer!
